My trip to Korba, via Kendai waterfall, Chatisgarh

My trip to Korba via Kendai waterfall :

Korba is an industrial city especially known for Coal  and aluminium mines. The historical temple of this place the Sarvamangla Devi temple which is the Kul Devi of the Gond royal family of this forest region.

We find the following villages in sequence in the journey by car from Kendai to Korba: It is journey of 85 km.The first important village near to Kendai is Chotiya where almost all necessary items viz. eatable, medical store, petrol pump etc. are available. This village  is about 15 km from Kendai.

The next village is Madai. Madai is famous for tasty Peda ( made up of pure Khoya). And then Gursiyan, Narodkhar, Paudi Uprouda, Tanakhar and covering a distance of 55km from kendai we reach the important place Kathagora( actual name is Kathmora) the one of the important Taheseels of Korba district. It has good market and  this place is important intersecting point of the roads to Bilaspur,Ambikapur and Korba. The next important village on this toute is Churi village. Churi is famous for the Kosa thread & cloth. Kosa fiber is a product by an warm just like silk warm. This village is near the Korba city .At he gate way to the city we reached N.T.P.C. colony and then Darri. It is well planned city. It was developed in the 1960s especially due to the coal mines and aluminium. However this area was the capital of the sourounding forest region rulled by a Gond rular and people remember only one name of the queen “Rani Dhan Raj Kunwar” . In her palace a college was oppened in the year 1971. However it is surprising the name of the college is “ Kamla Nehru Mahaviddyalaya, Korba” instesd in the  name of the owner of the palace the queen.
The queen Dhanraj Kuwar had been a famous rular of this region. Her palace was built in late 18th century which hac been used as a Nahavidyalaya.

Some new construction has also been built to increase faculties  which is renamed as Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya. However, the name ought to be in the name of the queen.

The decedents of the royal family Mrs.Nirmala Singh w/o. Late Jyoti Bhushan Singh, lives in Tilak Nagar,Pratap Chowk,Pratap Bhawan,Bilaspur

In Korba, another important place apart from coal and aluminium mines and electricity producing points is the famous ancient historical temple of Sarvamangla Devi temple of the Kul Devi of the royal family of Korba. This temple has been rebuilt and the inside of the main temple is beautifully decorated with the mirrors pices of different colours on the walls of the temple.

This ancient temple has been rebuilt beautifully with the decoration of mirror piece art.

In the returning from Korba to Kendai, we stopped at Hanuman Gadhi. It is said that there is sign of the foot of Lord Hanuman.. This place has well maintained gardens.
