Pachmadi via Patalkot

Pachmadi via Patalkot
We came out from Patalkot around 3’O clock afternoon and moved towards Tamiya Tahaseel and pick up Pachmadi Road. On the way we stooped for few minutes at Jhiriya forest. From here the Hoshnagabad border starts. On right side of the road the PENCH National Forest Area is attached. On moving few kilometers we reached Matkuli T point. The left side road is for Pachmadi and right side for Pipariya. Here we have to pay toll tax of Rs.29/- for Pachmadi which is about 30 kilometer from this T point of Matkuli. Pipariya is also almost the same distance. On the way we saw Denwa river flowing touching the

bottom of the high hilly dense forest of Satpuda tiger reserves. On the right side of the road there is a Medicinal Plant Research Centre at Panarpani.

In singnama village , forest Department has its Guest House. On the way we reached to Pachmadi via Pagra village,Bari Aam,Panarpani and Chamadi around 4’O clock in the evening. Due to lack of time we visited only two sight :
Pandav Cave_

This is under the supervision of ASI, Bhopal circle. This is actually Baudha Math.

However the History of this place is not mentioned at the sight as usual on most of the sights of the ASI. Here only a D-group employee on daily wages was available who does not know much about the sight, In most of the sights of ASI, the daily wagers are not being paid salary/remuneration in time rather they get money after months together. This culture should be rectified to expect honesty from the employees. Here I observed three net doors at the entrances of the cave. The caves was covered by these net doors to protect it from the mentally sic tourists as they carve their names and spoil the original beauty of the monument. However before doing this protection the ASI was supposed to

remove all the carved names by scratching and /or rubbing these.
Latter we moved towards the Rajgiri hills for sun set point around 5.30 pm. It was a lovely view.
